We’re shaking it up this week at Podcasting Mastery with a different format. We still want to help you develop a lifestyle business so you can spend less time doing business and more time for enjoying family and travel. But James isn’t going to interview a guest this week. Instead, Digital Marketing Strategist and super co-host, Kimberly Juchnowski will interview that famous podcasting expert…James Martell!
James is just back from the Performance Marketing Summit 2016, a one-day conference for digital marketers which was held in the InterContinental Hotel in Chicago. He’ll share some of the highlights of his trip (in and out of the conference).
Even though podcasting is considered to be fairly new, James has been doing it for a long time. He’s seen how effective it can be for generating leads, whether you’re a fitness coach, a marketing consultant or even the proprietor of a funeral home. In an agenda packed with digital marketing topics like paid traffic, behavioral technology, lead generation, FTC regulations and Google policies, James offered a simple message: Podcasting is one of the best ways to generate content for your business’ internet presence and create instant customers.
James believes in making a trip to a conference into a “breakation”. I know what you’re thinking- does a man who works from a beach hut studio really need a vacation? Maybe or maybe not, but either way, the Windy City had a lot to offer. His trip included the things anyone visiting Chicago has to do, the famous Chicago Architecture Cruise, as well as walking in the footsteps of Al Capone on the Untouchables Tour. Hearing about all those gangsters inspired him and Arlene into breaking the rules a little for themselves. They snuck into some off-limits parts of their historic InterContinental Hotel in search of the blimp mooring station. That’s right. The hotel that hosted talks on high tech topics such as ad revenue optimization, podcasting, and niche-blogging comes with a place to dock your dirigible. Be sure to check out James’ and Arlene’s photos to see how far they got in their snooping around.
If you didn’t make it to Chicago for the Performance Marketing Summit, don’t worry. In this episode, James will share the highlights of his presentation, the knowledge that makes him the go-to podcasting expert, including:
James’s experience as a podcasting expert means that he knows how to get the job done. Whether you’re the do-it-yourself type who needs to know all the steps, or someone who just wants to show up when it’s time to record the show, James has resources to help:
