Podcast Artwork Specs - Organize Cover Art in MinutesThis week, Podcasting Veteran, James Martell and Digital Marketing Strategist, Kimberly Juchnowski leave the beach hut studio to step into the jungle. Okay, they’re not really going into a jungle, but they are talking with Dr. Jason Klop, host of the Step into the Jungle Podcast. Dr. Klop is passionate about helping others in overcoming challenges and finding their passions. We’ve discussed challenges on this show, challenges like protecting your intellectual property and creating membership sites for podcasters. Dr. Klop takes it a little farther, like interviewing Geeta Nadkarni who despised writing as a child, but went on to become an award-winning journalist. Not challenging enough? How about Sean Swarner, the first cancer survivor with one lung to stand on top Mt. Everest.

Dr. Klop credits his upbringing on a dairy farm with instilling in him the values of hard work and persistence. The words “I can’t” were literally considered swear words in his family! Constantly surrounded by animals, Dr. Klop developed a deep interest in helping sick animals which eventually led to his desire to become a doctor.

While completing his undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in psychology, Dr. Klop become fascinated by the psychology of people. Why do we make the choices we do? Why do some people struggle to make an effort, while others readily and wholeheartedly strive to attain success? Why does one patient become a victim of his or her disease, while another chooses to overcome it and be free, despite physical limitations?

Dr. Klop realized his calling in becoming a naturopathic doctor, and integrated these lessons into his practice. He noted that patients become sick again if they are not living meaningful lives. As such, Dr. Klop created a podcast, coaching program, and blog to help people find their talents and transition into leading happy, fulfilling lives.
